Marilyn Lawrence, author of From Pink to Blue and the newly released book, On An Angel’s Wing, is not new to the concept of supporting children and their life purpose paths. Her first book, From Pink to Blue, directly addresses the need to support children on the path that they were born to follow. This time Lawrence’s support of children takes a hands-on-approach with the students of Clackamas High School in Clackamas, Oregon. Lawrence has developed a contest to support students’ creativity path by offering an opportunity to be the illustrator of her upcoming children’s book, I Gave The Sun A Bath, an environmentally conscious motivational picture book. The illustration contest, in cooperation with Clackamas High School, was made available to all the art students. Three winners will be announced, cash prizes will be awarded and the first place winner will earn the opportunity to illustrate I Gave The Sun A Bath. A panel of judges will help determine the winners. Judges include the author, editor, Kay Derochie and Michael Paul and April Sunset of Fuseology Creative. The contest ends April 18th and winners will be announced at a school assembly.
